Isaac Nyangolo
Isaac Nyangolo is a Kenyan social innovator and technologist, best known as the Co-Founder and CEO of Zeraki, a leading edtech firm at the forefront of digitizing education across East Africa. Under his leadership, Zeraki has introduced groundbreaking tools designed to empower teachers, parents, and students with data-driven insights and accessible digital learning environments.
Nyangolo’s journey began with a solid academic foundation—he earned his Bachelor of Engineering Sciences, cum laude from Harvard College, and later became a MasterCard Foundation EdTech Fellow in 2020. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, he honed his skills across multiple sectors—initially contributing as a planning and design engineer at Wananchi Online, then as a clearing assistant at Citibank, and later as a marketing analyst at Equity Bank. He also served as program manager at the Equity Group Foundation, where he further developed his understanding of education and community development.
In 2014, Nyangolo co-founded Zeraki, through which he launched flagship products such as Zeraki Analytics—a platform reinventing how schools gather and employ educational data—and Zeraki Learning, which provides students with accessible, high-quality digital content and performance tracking. Zeraki also offers Zeraki Touch, a biometric attendance and operations tool for streamlining school administration. Under Nyangolo’s leadership, the venture raised US$1.8 million in seed funding—led by Acumen Fund—to expand its product offerings and geographic reach across Eastern Africa.
Beyond Zeraki, Nyangolo plays an active role in educational and civic institutions. He serves as Chairperson of the Harvard Club of Kenya, sits on the board of Superfluid Labs, and advises the Kenyan chapter of Education for All Children. He also led several youth and scholarship initiatives—including G-United and the Equity Leaders Program—and contributed to the Wings to Fly Program, highlighting his deep commitment to educational access and leadership development.
