Achagei Areng Adan

Areng was recognized for his peace keeping initiatives among the Turkana and the Ngangatom/ Dassanach of Ethiopia. He brokered a truce that enabled resource sharing particularly water and pasture and the recovery of livestock and property that were stolen amidst clashes. He has organized multiple sports matches between Nyangatom city boyz FC of Ethiopia and Kibish FC from Turkana County, Kenya. He has also implemented the ushanga initiative within the cross-border communities in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and South Sudan.
