Dr. Aruna was recognized for her human rights advocacy efforts. Dr. Aruna through Together for Better Foundation, has championed for the rights of girls to access reproductive health information, menstrual hygiene, mental health and wellness. he is the founder of a community library that supports literacy programs among vulnerable students in the society and visits different counties giving food, clothing, reusable sanitary pads and doing civic education on matters health.
