Bernadette Resian Loloju

Bernadette was recognized for her outstanding efforts in championing the fight against female genital mutilation (FGM), enhancing the rights and welfare of women and girls across Kenya. Through her leadership as CEO of Anti-FGM Board she has enhanced policy development and law enforcement, community engagement and international advocacy which has really improved awareness and led to reduced prevalence of FGM from 21% in 2014 to 15% in 2022.
