Carolyne Ndolo

Carolyne Ndolo is a Kenyan nurse-turned-healthcare executive who serves as General Manager, East Africa, for IQVIA, the global provider of analytics and research services. After earning a Bachelor of Nursing Science from the University of Nairobi, she spent seven years as a critical-care nurse at The Nairobi Hospital, gaining insight into gaps in supply and data use. In 2010 she joined Becton Dickinson, training over 4,000 clinicians in safe-injection protocols across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and leading BD’s 2014 syringe-safety rollout with Ministries of Health.

Recruited by IQVIA in 2017, Ndolo quickly rose from regional project lead to head of operations and, in 2022, to General Manager overseeing Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia and South Sudan. Under her leadership IQVIA has doubled staff to 160, opened a Kigali delivery centre, and deployed the first federated real-world-evidence network linking 280 facilities. The platform has significantly shortened regulatory review cycles for new oncology drugs by 35 percent and informed COVID-19 booster strategies.

A champion of women in STEM, Ndolo mentors through Pangea Trust and cofounded the Girls in Data fellowship. Accolades include the 2024 Kenya Women in Tech Leadership Award and a 2025 seat on the Africa CDC Digital Health Advisory Board.
