Cephas Gathii Kinuthia
Cephas Gathii Kinuthia is a Kenyan entrepreneur and founder of multiple ventures that empower youth and small-business owners. A graduate of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science, Gathii began his career by offering websites and printing business cards, borrowing just KSh 1,500 to kick-off his venture.
He is the founder and CEO of Koncepts and Events — a creative agency serving corporate, NGO and government institutions — and also created the social enterprise Young Entrepreneurs Expo Africa, which has impacted thousands of young entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, networking and a platform to showcase their products and services.
Gathii’s impact lies in transforming his own early employment frustration into business opportunities for others and demonstrating how technology, events-management and youth empowerment can be combined for social good. His platforms have helped over 7,000 young entrepreneurs and 2,000 campus students, aiming to reach 100,000 by 2030.
