Charles Mwangi
Charles Mwangi is a distinguished Kenyan engineer who rose to become Senior Director of Engineering at Tesla, one of the world’s most innovative electric vehicle and clean energy companies. Sitting at the top of Tesla’s engineering division, Mwangi oversaw a team of more than 300 engineers responsible for designing and building complex tools and automated production lines used in Tesla’s factories across the globe. His role placed him at the heart of the company’s mission to revolutionize sustainable transportation and energy.
Before joining Tesla in 2012, Mwangi spent over a decade in the automotive industry, including six years at Nissan in Japan and the United States, where he gained extensive experience in manufacturing engineering and process optimization.
