Collins Injera
Collins Injera is a retired Kenyan rugby legend renowned for his exceptional contributions to the sport. Over a distinguished 17-year career, he became the second-highest try scorer in World Rugby Sevens Series history, amassing 279 tries. Injera played a pivotal role in Kenya’s historic semifinal appearance at the 2016 Rio Olympics and was instrumental in the team’s first-ever World Sevens Series title in Singapore the same year. Beyond his on-field achievements, he was inducted into Fiji’s Rugby Town Walk of Fame in 2023, a testament to his global impact on the sport. Following his retirement, Injera transitioned to coaching, returning to his former club, Mwamba RFC, as an assistant coach, focusing on attack and defense strategies. His legacy continues to inspire aspiring rugby players in Kenya and beyond.
