Dalmas, a celebrated figure in Kenya’s para sports, was being honored for his outstanding contributions as both an athlete and coach. A former Captain of the Kenya Amputee National Football Team, Dalmas has demonstrated remarkable versatility and leadership across multiple sporting disciplines. His para sports journey began with distinction in 2005 when he represented Kenya in wheelchair basketball at the U23 World Championship, helping the team clinch a bronze medal.

From 2006 to 2010, Dalmas dominated Kenya’s National Para swimming championships, winning an impressive 12 gold medals and cementing his status as a top-tier athlete. His international excellence was further proven in 2012 when he claimed a gold medal at the Masters Swimming Gala in Adelaide, Australia, showcasing his talent on the global stage.

Today, Dalmas continues to shape Kenya’s para sports as the 2023 Head Coach of the Kenya National Amputee Football Team, leading them in the inaugural African Para Games in Accra, Ghana. His achievements, both in and out of competition, reflect resilience, dedication, and a deep commitment to uplifting para-athletes. Dalmas stands as an inspiration to many, proving that determination and passion can break barriers and redefine what is possible in sports.
