Daniel Kamau
Daniel Kamau is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fusion Capital Limited, a leading real estate developer, private equity operator, and fund manager serving the East Africa region. He has been with Fusion for over a decade, rising through roles such as Head of Private Equity and Business Development Manager, and later Executive Director in charge of Real Estate before assuming full leadership of the group.
Under Kamau’s stewardship, Fusion Capital has expanded its real estate commitments in East Africa to over USD 200 million, involving investments in housing, office space, retail, and mixed-use developments. Deals managed under his leadership have ranged from modest projects to large-scale developments valued up to tens of millions of dollars.
Kamau’s professional expertise spans deal origination, structuring and negotiation, financial modelling, off-market debt investing, due diligence, and board governance. Before joining Fusion, he worked in auditing in Nairobi, which helped ground his technical finance and investment skills.
Besides project execution, Kamau has become known for ethical leadership. He was recognized in Kenya’s “Top 40 Under 40” and by the Ethical Leadership Network. He has also led philanthropic efforts, including educational support via Fusion’s partnership with organizations like Optiven Foundation to help needy students access school.
