David Wanjohi

Captain David Wanjohi is a distinguished Kenyan aviation professional and tax expert, currently serving as a Senior Manager in the Tax and Law Department at Ernst & Young (EY) Kenya. With an LLM in Law and Economics from University College London (UCL), he is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). His expertise spans direct and indirect tax across various sectors, including government, public sector, financial services, manufacturing, and retail. David was recognized among Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Men in 2019 and honored as an EMEA Rising Star in Tax Dispute by the International Tax Review Awards in 2023. He is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya Tax Committee. Prior to joining EY, David gained experience in a London-based law firm specializing in corporate, commercial, real estate, and project finance, and worked in government on infrastructure, agriculture, and energy projects at both national and county levels.
