Edward Karoph Wabwoto

Justice Edward Karoph Wabwoto is a distinguished Kenyan judge serving at the Environment and Land Court. Appointed in June 2021, he brings over 15 years of legal experience, including a tenure as a senior legal officer at the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). He holds an LLB from Moi University, a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law, and a certificate in legislative drafting. Justice Wabwoto has actively contributed to Kenya’s climate policy, participating in the drafting of the Climate Change Act of 2016 and representing Kenya in international climate negotiations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). His commitment to environmental justice and legal reform has earned him recognition as one of Business Daily’s Top 40 Under 40 Men in 2022.
