Eliud Kipchoge

Eliud Kipchoge is a Kenyan marathon legend widely regarded as the greatest distance runner in history. He has secured two Olympic gold medals (2016, 2020), four London Marathon titles, and five Berlin Marathon victories. In 2018, he set a world record in Berlin with a time of 2:01:39, later improving it to 2:01:09 in 2022. In 2019, Kipchoge became the first person to run a marathon in under two hours, completing the Ineos 1:59 Challenge in 1:59:40, though it wasn’t officially recognized due to controlled conditions. Known as “The Philosopher,” his disciplined approach and mental fortitude have inspired athletes worldwide.
