Faith Odhiambo

Faith Odhiambo made history in 2024 when she was elected as the second female President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), following in the footsteps of Raychelle Omamo who served in the early 2000s. Her election marked a pivotal moment in Kenya’s legal landscape, symbolizing progress in gender inclusion and strong leadership within the profession.

A seasoned advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Faith holds an LLB from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, and a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Kent (UK). She is also pursuing a PhD at the University of Nairobi, focusing on competition law and consumer protection in the financial and telecommunications sectors.

Before her presidency, she served as Vice President of LSK and Board Secretary of FIDA-Kenya, championing the rights of women and children. She has also advised the Competition Authority of Kenya on legal matters affecting national trade and finance.

During the 2024 Finance Bill protests, Faith earned national respect for her bold defense of civil liberties, mobilizing legal support for protestors and standing firm against political pressure. Her leadership reflects courage, independence, and a deep commitment to justice.
