Faith Ogallo was honoured for her exceptional achievements and dedication to Taekwondo, a sport in which she has consistently demonstrated discipline, strength, and skill. In 2025, she won a gold medal at the African Open Series Zone Five Taekwondo Championship, a highly competitive event that brought together some of the continent’s best martial artists. Her victory not only showcased her personal excellence but also elevated Kenya’s reputation in regional martial arts competitions.

Her journey to success began years earlier when she represented her university at the East Africa University Games in Dodoma in 2018, where she also emerged as a gold medalist. This early triumph marked the beginning of a promising athletic career and positioned her as one of Kenya’s most talented female Taekwondo practitioners.

Beyond her medals, Faith has become a symbol of perseverance and empowerment, inspiring young women to take up martial arts and pursue their sporting ambitions. Through her achievements, she continues to advocate for greater participation of women in combat sports, proving that with dedication and hard work, Kenyan athletes can excel at both regional and continental levels.
