Fiona Mungai

Fiona Mungai is a Kenyan business strategist accelerating inclusive growth at the intersection of technology, food systems, and high-impact entrepreneurship. In 2024 she joined Twiga Foods as Chief Officer, Business Development and Innovation, charged with scaling its farm-to-market platform across East Africa. She leads new-market entry, embedded-finance products for farmers and vendors, and a data-driven last-mile network that now serves 200,000 micro-retailers in Kenya and Uganda.

Before Twiga, Fiona spent seven years building Endeavor Kenya from a start-up office into a Pan-African scale-up engine. As Managing Director she selected and mentored 40 high-growth founders collectively raising more than US $500 million, creating 25,000 jobs, and catalysing Kenya’s first two unicorn valuations. She still sits on Endeavor Africa’s Advisory Board and Global Executive Committee, guiding capital mobilisation for emerging-market entrepreneurs.

An alumna of Alliance Girls’ High School, the London School of Economics (BSc, Management) and Harvard Business School (MBA), Fiona began her career at PwC’s Deals practice in London, advising FTSE 100 clients on M&A strategy. Named to Business Daily’s Top 40 Under 40 Women, she champions gender parity through the VentureHer fellowship and mentors university students via KEPSA’s Ajira Digital programme.

Fiona’s north star is clear: leverage innovation and capital to build resilient value chains that unlock prosperity for Africa’s farmers, founders, and future leaders.
