Jane Ndenga

Jane is celebrated for her outstanding achievements and dedication to wheelchair tennis, where she has consistently flown Kenya’s flag high on the continental and global stage. At the 1st Africa Para Games held in 2023 in Accra, Ghana, she impressed as a singles quarter-finalist and won two silver medals in doubles. Her talent had already been evident in 2019 when she secured a silver medal at the Nairobi Open.

Her career is marked by consistent success at the World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers. In both 2016 and 2015, she won bronze medals, showcasing her resilience and skill against top African opponents. Her crowning moment came in 2014 when she triumphed in the same qualifiers, winning gold in both singles and doubles. In the 2020 qualifiers, she once again proved her competitiveness, finishing as runner-up in both singles and doubles to claim silver medals.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Jane has made significant contributions off the court. She serves as the current regional representative for Africa at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Wheelchair Tennis Players Council, advocating for the growth and recognition of the sport across the continent. Her career reflects both sporting excellence and leadership in advancing para tennis in Africa.
