Jonathan Gichohi
Jonathan Gichohi, a Kenyan automation strategist has spent the past three years turning Jubilee Insurance’s back office into a lights-out factory of digital efficiency. Appointed head of robotic process automation in January 2022, he mapped every choke-point in customer onboarding and claims handling, then unleashed software bots that read documents, reconcile data, and flag anomalies in seconds. Error rates have plunged, manual touch points have shrunk by more than half, and what once took days now closes in minutes, savings his team reinvests in new customer-facing features and fraud-detection models.
Gichohi balances code with coaching. A fixture at East African tech boot camps, he pairs university students with live automation projects and has guided dozens of interns into full-time developer roles. His own résumé blends business rigor and project discipline, a Bachelor of Commerce in finance and a master’s in project management, both from the University of Nairobi and he is currently sharpening his edge through Oxford University’s applied-AI programme. Next on his dashboard: layering generative-AI copilots onto Jubilee’s service channels and exporting the insurer’s RPA playbook to its regional subsidiaries. For Gichohi, the ultimate KPI is simple: less busywork, more human value at every click.
