Joshua Leshan Kereto
Joshua Leshan Kereto is the founder and CEO of Tareto Africa, a grassroots organization established in 2017 to combat harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), gender-based violence (GBV), and child marriage in Maasai land. Driven by a personal commitment to empower girls and women, Tareto Africa has rescued numerous girls from FGM, provided scholarships, and launched initiatives like the “Trees for Girls” project, which combines climate action with sexual and reproductive health education. Under Kereto’s leadership, Tareto Africa has become a leading voice in advocating for gender equality and social justice.
