Joyce Gitangu

Dr. Joyce Gitangu is a Kenyan-American dentist and public health expert, recognized for her innovative approach to pediatric dental care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University in 2008 and a Master of Public Health with a focus on Health Policy from Harvard University in 2012. In 2014, she founded Dental Smiles for Kids in Nairobi, creating a child-friendly environment that integrates dental education, preventive care, and nutritional counseling. Her clinic emphasizes early intervention and holistic oral health, aiming to reduce future dental issues through proactive measures. Dr. Gitangu was honored as one of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women in 2019.
