Julia Wanjiru Maina

Julia was honoured for promoting menstrual health/hygiene through her Foundation Pad Up a Girl which improved the lives of young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. She also uses her foundation to impart knowledge and skills to young women to help them navigate physical and emotional challenges.
