Morris Okolla Alfayo

Morris Okolla Alfayo was honoured for his outstanding contribution to professional boxing in Kenya and beyond. A seasoned heavyweight boxer, Morris has fought an impressive seventeen (17) bouts, winning thirteen (13) of them by technical knockout (TKO), both locally and internationally. His powerful presence in the ring and relentless fighting spirit have earned him respect within the African boxing community.

On September 21, 2024, Morris headlined the main event at Charter Hall in Nairobi, where he delivered a thrilling performance against Cedric Oliver of Mauritius, winning by unanimous decision after six intense rounds. The year before, in 2023, he stunned fans with a lightning-fast 20-second TKO victory against Yannick Katuta Manda, also at Charter Hall. His prowess was first established in 2015, when he defeated James Nyariki to become the Kenyan National Heavyweight Champion.

Before turning professional, Morris enjoyed a successful amateur career in the light-heavyweight category, winning gold for Kenya at the Africa Zone Five Championships in Nairobi after a fourth-round knockout of Uganda’s Twaib Mayanja. His career reflects not only athletic excellence but also dedication, discipline, and national pride—making him one of Kenya’s most accomplished boxing champions.
