Moses Mang’eni Chirandine

Moses Mang’eni Chirandine was honoured for his relentless efforts to protect children’s rights and combat gender-based violence in Busia County. As a police officer, he goes beyond his official duties to defend victims and ensure justice is served.

Moses personally investigates abuse cases, supports survivors, and helps families navigate the justice system. He often uses his own resources to rescue children and ensure offenders are brought to court. His compassion and persistence have earned him respect from both the community and his colleagues.

Beyond law enforcement, he leads community outreach programs that teach parents, teachers, and youth how to detect and report abuse early. His initiatives have helped reduce cases of child neglect and violence while building a culture of protection and accountability.

His commitment has earned him recognition from the Kenya Police Service, the Teachers Service Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Law Society of Kenya, and World Vision. Local media have also highlighted his story as an example of integrity and courage in public service.

Moses continues to inspire others through action. His life’s work shows that true justice begins with compassion and that one person’s dedication can transform an entire community.
