Mumbi Ndung’u
Mumbi Ndung’u is the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Power Learn Project (PLP), a Pan-African social impact organization committed to transforming the continent’s digital landscape by equipping young Africans with essential technology skills. Her mission is rooted in the belief that access to affordable, quality tech education is key to unlocking economic opportunities and solving Africa’s youth unemployment crisis.
Under her leadership, PLP has launched various programs across countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia, offering courses in software development, artificial intelligence, and data science—often free or low-cost. Through these initiatives, Mumbi and her team aim to democratize access to digital skills and build a robust, inclusive talent pipeline for Africa’s growing tech ecosystem.
Mumbi is not just an advocate for tech education, but also for inclusive growth, especially championing opportunities for women and marginalized youth. Her work has empowered thousands to pursue careers in technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation—creating ripple effects in their communities.
With a passion for purpose-driven leadership and a keen understanding of Africa’s potential, Mumbi Ndung’u continues to shape a future where young people are not just consumers of technology, but creators, leaders, and change-makers in the global digital economy.
