Parin Simiyu
Parin Simiyu was feted for her exceptional contribution to netball development in Kenya and her remarkable leadership as the captain of the national netball team. Under her dynamic and inspiring leadership, the team achieved significant milestones, including outstanding performances at the African Netball Championships held in South Africa (2022) and Botswana (2024). Her dedication, teamwork, and strategic vision helped elevate Kenya’s status in continental netball competitions.
In addition to her success in Africa, Parin led the national team to represent Kenya at the World Netball Championships in Singapore and Dubai (2025), marking a historic period for Kenyan netball on the global stage. Her resilience, passion, and commitment to excellence have made her a role model for many young athletes, especially women aspiring to break barriers in sports leadership.
