Peris Mukoko-Wanyaga

Peris Mukoko Wanyaga is a trailblazing Kenyan rugby leader, educator, and referee with over 15 years of experience. She made history as the first Kenyan female accredited by World Rugby as a Match Officials’ Educator and Trainer. A former Kenya international player, she has served on the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Board and was named among Rugby Africa’s “Unstoppables” in 2020. As Honorary Treasurer and Director of Women’s Rugby at Kenya Harlequin RFC, she pioneered initiatives to increase female match officials and leadership representation. In 2021, she received the World Rugby Executive Leadership Scholarship, underscoring her impact on advancing women in rugby governance.
