Rhoda King’ori

Rhoda King’ori is a Kenyan entrepreneur and Co-Founder and COO of Zydii, an innovative edtech platform offering localized digital training tailored for African businesses and professionals. Holding a BA in International Relations and an MBA in Global, Social, and Sustainable Enterprise, Rhoda brings expertise in marketing, operations, project management, and commercial growth to her leadership role.

Founded in 2017 alongside Joyce Mbaya, Zydii was born from their shared recognition of the need for scalable, accessible training solutions aligned with African workplace realities. The platform delivers over 50 Africa-centric courses—spanning soft skills, leadership, communication, and management—via accessible channels like WhatsApp, web, SMS, and USSD, breaking geographical and tech barriers.

Under Rhoda’s co-leadership, Zydii has earned recognition for its innovation: in 2018, it won the Standard Chartered Women in Tech award and later secured pre-seed funding from notable investors including DOB Equity, Kua Ventures, Kaleo Ventures, and NaiBAN . In 2025, the company expanded its reach through a strategic partnership with Venture for Africa, launching hands-on go-to-market training tailored to African businesses.

Rhoda’s vision extends beyond Zydii’s growth. In interviews, she has emphasized her desire to empower African startups, mentor emerging founders, and eventually facilitate knowledge management through AI-enabled platforms. Her leadership exemplifies how localized edtech solutions can catalyze workforce development and business transformation across the continent.
