Rose Thiga

Rose Thiga is a seasoned Kenyan business leader with a diverse career spanning strategy, operations, and corporate development. Currently, she serves as the Head of Strategy at Safaricom PLC, a role she has held since April 2022 . Prior to this, Thiga was the Chief Operating Officer at PayGo Energy, a technology company focused on expanding access to clean cooking solutions in Kenya . She has also held leadership positions at BAP Africa, Simba Corporation, PwC, Ametek, Credit Suisse, SunGard, and Deloitte . Thiga holds an MBA in Finance and Management from The Wharton School and a BSBA in Accounting, Economics, and Information Systems from Drexel University. Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident from her founding of BAP Africa, a consulting firm providing advisory services to corporate and private equity investors. Additionally, she hosts the “Shaping Africa” podcast, which explores the impact of diaspora returnees on the continent and offers practical advice for successful reintegration.
