Victoria Cherotich
Victoria Cherotich is the Chief Executive Officer of Image Registrars Limited, East Africa’s leading securities registrar and corporate secretarial services provider. Appointed CEO on April 1, 2023, she made history as a homegrown leader who climbed every rung of the corporate ladder—from registry work to boardroom strategy.
Her journey began in 2006, joining Image Registrars as a registry clerk during Kenya’s IPO boom. She mastered every operational role—from data entry and securities registration to governance and company secretarial work—eventually becoming Director of Operations before her CEO appointment. She famously says, “I have done every single task here… when it gets to the bigger goal, you understand the journey”.
Victoria holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Secretary, Accredited Governance Auditor, and a Global Reporting Initiative–certified sustainability professional.
As CEO, she oversees treasury operations, dividend administration, corporate actions, digital transformation, and client service innovation—ensuring Image remains at the forefront of capital market support in Kenya and beyond. She also serves as Company Secretary for several listed firms, including Sameer Africa PLC, leveraging her governance expertise at the highest corporate level.
With over fifteen years’ experience across securities registration, governance advisory, project management, and digital customer experience, Victoria has emerged as a role model for women executives in finance and capital markets. Her leadership drives both operational excellence and inclusive professional growth in Kenya’s securities ecosystem.
