Victoria Rubadiri
Victoria Rubadiri is a Kenyan journalist celebrated for her insightful storytelling and deep commitment to showcasing Africa’s economic transformation. In 2020, she was honored with the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award, becoming the second Kenyan to receive the distinction. The accolade recognized her compelling narrative skills and ability to present nuanced African stories with authenticity and empathy.
Following her win, Victoria underwent a three-month training at the BBC Academy, gaining hands‑on experience across radio, online, and television platforms. Her placement included reporting assignments in Kinshasa, where she profiled innovation in urban transport and public safety.
In May 2024, Rubadiri joined CNN International as a correspondent for “Connecting Africa”, covering transformative business trends, public policy, and major economic players shaping continental trade. She works alongside veteran anchor Eleni Giokos, bringing powerful stories from across Africa to global audiences.
With a Broadcast Journalism degree from Temple University and over a decade of experience in Kenyan radio and television, Victoria is known for anchoring prime-time news bulletins, high-stakes interviews, and investigative segments focused on human welfare and innovation.
