Wachuka Gichohi
Wachuka Gichohi is a Kenyan entrepreneur and the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Ikigai, a leading co-working brand that blends functionality, wellness, and community in premium office spaces across Nairobi. Together with her sister Nyambura Kariuki, Wachuka launched Ikigai to challenge conventional notions of office environments, designing spaces that not only support productivity but also nurture human connection and intentional living.
As COO, Wachuka oversees daily operations, project execution, and customer experience across Ikigai’s multiple locations. With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania and a postgraduate executive certification in Project Management, she brings a unique blend of systems thinking and human-centered leadership to her role. Her background enables her to balance structure with empathy, ensuring that each Ikigai space is not just operationally efficient but also attuned to the needs of its diverse members.
